Something New...

The video feed shows a large, but sparse room, darkly lit, a very large view port dominates one wall. Through the view port can be seen a nearby planet and the vast ocean of space. A plain side table and a simple plush chair are situated next to the view port. Mitara sits there looking quite comfortable, datapad in hand...

It is ironic that my first entry finds me very much at ease, relaxed... Happy even. Oh, Miss Lianne your news of Koronakesh's heart being torn out be that Seibestor witch made me most pleased. God has already started punishing that bastard for his treachery.

Mitara chuckles quietly and smiles...

My patrols went well, nothing in our contested systems, but several installations were closed elsewhere. Ensigns Yoblleh and Ves performed well, following orders promptly. A small engagement with a pirate Ishkur was the only resistance we saw.

Things of note from Paradise Found... I met a friend of Laerise's, Chase Starbright. She seems nice enough, somewhat aloof, but personable. They have an odd air about them, I can't quite place it...

Mitara picks up the datapad quickly and begins keying

That reminds me, I must remember to thank Laerise for suggesting Horatius's malted whiskey, it was quite good.

Ensigns Karvash, Lianne, and myself were blessed to hear one of Aldrith's works. It was very heady, and kind of sad... I would like to hear more though, perhaps he will finish some of his 'more cheery' writings, as he put it.

Mitara sits quietly for several minutes, and the slight smile she has had disappears from her lips
